Whether it is something nautical like an antique ship lantern, or mission style lighting, or candle wall sconces, or our most popular, an onion lantern in any of its various glass and metal finishes, we're sure you will find the style and size of your liking at Nauset Lantern Shop. Of course, and as you would expect of a Cape Cod lantern shop, we offer many choices in the marine, nautical, Cape Cod and Pilgrim style of lanterns, and you'll find them all here on our site and in our show room. We offer the light bulbs you will need for your lantern choices here as well.

Handcrafted Excellence

Blind solders, heavy gage copper wire and slotted collars are just a few of the extra steps our craftsmen take in the creation of our lanterns. Blind solders - - - done on the inside of joints before assembly, so the soldering is never seen; heavy 20 gage copper wire used to bolster the strength of our onion lantern cages for greater structural integrity; sleeves fitted into slots created for the purpose, rather than a long soldered joint, to create a truer circumference on
our onion lantern collars, as well as greater structural integrity.

Individual Numbered PlateOur master craftsmen and coppersmiths take great pride in their work,
and it shows in each and every lantern they hand craft. The pride in their workmanship manifests when they affix an individually numbered name plate to each finished lantern.

It is this pride in our craftsmanship that allows The Nauset Lantern Shop to guarantee your complete satisfaction
with your lantern.

Excerpt from our quarterly Newsletter: Nauset Lantern's Light
Making LanternsI appreciate very much your business with The Nauset Lantern Shop, and hope you are enjoying your lanterns. We take our craft very seriously here, and do the little things that help set ours apart from other shops - - - things like invisible welds (behind the joints) to keep the look and lines of the lantern clean; and using high gage copper wire for soldering those joints.

Nauset Lantern Shop is one of the few, perhaps only 1 or 2 others in the country, craftsmen who produce pewter lanterns. One recent customer who ordered 14 pewter wall lanterns in the Early American Style told me he had a difficult time finding a shop who produced hand-crafted pewter lanterns. We were thrilled to be able to help him.
